During our temporary closure we have been working hard to provide for the children who attend the Castle Kindergarten. All of the staff have worked hard to try and provide high quality resources which the children would enjoy using and which would help them to continue to learn through these unusual and difficult times.

Amongst other things we provided:

• A dedicated Castle Kindergarten YouTube channel. This was updated regularly and amongst the things provided stories, nursery rhymes, songs, dance, art, numbers, letters and much more. There were also items from the teachers at the Castle - find out about vegetables, dogs and tadpoles!
• A live ’Zoom’ session with all children each weekday which included registration, meeting and greeting the children and a sing-along
• Weekly curriculum details issued via personal emails every Sunday outlining the week’s work
• Worksheets and other materials specifically designed for the appropriate age group
• The possibility of face-to-face sessions between parents and some staff
  

During the closure the channel had almost 11,000 views and comments we have received have shown that it has been both successful and enjoyable. For this reason the channel is remaining open for the foreseeable future and can be accessed using the link below.
